Montana’s rodeo season runs June through September across the Big Sky region, offering visitors an authentic, family friendly connection into the American West. From bull riding and barrel racing to bronc riding and team roping, Montana rodeos put the skills of working ranch life on full display, all set against the Rocky Mountain landscape.

Big Sky Professional Bull Riding is a marquee stop on the Professional Bull Riders Challenger Series, bringing the world’s top riders and rankest bulls to the base of 11,166 foot Lone Mountain for three nights of competition in the heart of Big Sky, Montana. One of Montana’s most attended summer events, Big Sky PBR features live entertainment, family friendly Western celebration and a mountain backdrop unlike any other stop on the circuit.

June 25 – September 3 | Big Sky Town Center

Big Sky’s outdoor concert series runs every Thursday evening through summer at Town Center, drawing locals and visitors alike for live music against a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. The lineup spans local Montana artists and national touring acts, making it one of the most consistently attended community summer events in the Big Sky region.

Wildlands Music Festival

July 31 – August 1

The Wildlands Music Festival returns to Big Sky for two nights of live country music set against the Rocky Mountains. The festival opens July 31 with award-winning country artists Riley Green and LeAnn Rimes joined by Jackson Hole’s own Fader MaGavin and the Risky Livers. Night two on August 1 is headlined by Carrie Undewood, joined by Katilin Butts and the Jamie McLean Band.
